President, New Edge Networks
Cardi Prinzi was named president of New Edge Networks in June 2009. Prior to leading New Edge, Cardi served as senior vice president of marketing at TelePacific Communications where he was responsible for sales, product development and management, marketing, regulatory and external affairs. In addition to his six years with TelePacific, Cardi brings more than 25 years of industry experience in sales and marketing leadership, as well as data operations management with companies such as Pihana Pacific, Inc. (Equinix, Inc.), WorldCom/MFS and Sprint.
Vice President, External Affairs
Before joining New Edge Networks when it was formed in 1999, Penny was director of government affairs for Electric Lightwave. Penny has held a variety of managerial and executive positions with US WEST, now Qwest, including operator services, finance and more than 15 years in the legal and regulatory arena.
Penny holds a National Paralegal Certification as well as a bachelor of science degree in International Development and Public Policy from the University of Oregon and an MBA from City University in Seattle.
Division Counsel
Mark Butterfield was named Division Counsel in April 2009. Prior to joining New Edge Networks, Mark served as a General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in the information technology and financial services industries. While in these roles, he negotiated a broad range of domestic and international transactions, and was responsible for regulatory and external affairs, litigation management, Human Resources and corporate governance. His private practice experience has been focused on business formations, transactions and litigation, commercial collections and employment law.
Mark received his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and is admitted in Oregon and Washington, and to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
Vice President, Agent Channel
J.R. joined New Edge Networks in August 2009 as the first Vice President with the sole responsibility of New Edge Network's Agent Channel. With over 13 years experience managing agent channel partner relationships, J.R. leads the formation of a dedicated agent channel by fostering powerful relationships and placing importance on growth from agent partnerships.
Prior to New Edge, J.R. earned the title of Vice President of Premier Accounts for TelePacific Communications after working as a director in their Telepartner Channel. J.R. was also key in building the agent channel for Mpower Communications, which was acquired by TelePacific in 2006.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Greg joined New Edge Networks in 2003, bringing with him nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience. Greg has spent 16 years in the telecommunications industry, starting in sales and culminating as the president of Eschelon of Oregon (a voice and data integration company). Most recently, Greg was CEO and founder of Marketing Partners Northwest, a well-respected marketing firm that designs and executes targeted business development campaigns.
Greg earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Washington State University.
Chief Technology Officer
Jonathan joined New Edge Networks in July 2001 with more than 20 years of experience in network engineering and technology planning. Before joining New Edge Networks, Jonathan was chief technology officer for WorldCom Broadband Solutions in Dallas.
Prior to that he was vice president of emerging technologies for Skytel, which was later acquired by WorldCom. Jonathan previously also held network, engineering and technology planning positions with Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, Comstock Communications and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Jonathan has a bachelor's degree in computer sciences from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Vice President, Sales
Mike joined the New Edge team in October 2009 as Vice President of Sales. With over 25 years of experience in managing solution-driven sales teams, Mike brings an impressive track record and strategic vision for securing lasting executive-level relationships.
Prior to New Edge, he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for HyperQuality, the nation's largest call center quality assurance outsourcing company. Mike also held positions as Vice President of Sales and marketing for National Cinemedia, Qwest Digital Media, and Williams Conferencing, and as a Regional Sales Director for Sprint.
Mike has a bachelor's degree in Management and Marketing from Missouri State University.
Vice President, Customer Support
Kyle has been managing Customer Support Services for more than 13 years. He began his career in 1996 with a start-up ISP called "Internet in a Mall" that was acquired by EarthLink in 1997. During this transition he took responsibility for managing EarthLink's Support Operations unit. Through this time EarthLink won several JD Power Customer Satisfaction awards including a 2000 win for #1 with MindSpring as well as #2 for EarthLink - the two merged earlier that year.
In 2002, Kyle shifted roles to Vice President of Support Strategy of EarthLink and then in 2008 added the role of Vice President of Customer Support for New Edge Networks. Here he has been striving to bring call center support back in-house and limit outsourcing.
Vice President, Finance
Geraldine Williams joined New Edge Networks as vice president of finance in January 2007. Prior to joining the company, Geraldine was first vice president and division finance officer for Washington Mutual in Seattle. For 10 years before joining Washington Mutual, Geraldine held executive and managerial-level positions with Cingular Wireless, formerly AT&T Wireless Services, also in Seattle. She began her business career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles.
Geraldine has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University. She earned an MBA in finance with concentration in strategic planning from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Geraldine is based in Vancouver, Wash.
