New Edge Networks Offers Free Installation to Winstar Customers
VANCOUVER, Wash. – (Dec. 13, 2001) – New Edge Networks, one of the country’s largest enhanced data communications providers, is offering free installation to potentially stranded customers of bankrupt Winstar Communications (OTCBB:WCIEQ).
Qualified Winstar customers are eligible for free installation at each location where they may need their frame relay service for wide area network connections. Valued at $500 per connection, the promotion is good for orders placed before Dec. 31, 2001. New Edge Networks has established a toll-free hotline, 1-877-729-3343, for use by Winstar customers to check on service availability.
New Edge Networks, which operates one of the country’s largest ATM backbone networks with almost 600 advanced multi-service switches, also provides low-cost backup disaster recovery connectivity to reduce exposure to catastrophic network failures and primary carrier instability. In some cases, these backup communications can be established within three days.
