VANCOUVER, Wash. – (Aug. 27, 2003) – New Edge Networks, a national business broadband connections provider, has created a new online site to help its partners improve sales and service by giving them role-based access to up-to-date information.
Through the interactive online site called the Partner Network, New Edge Networks’ wide range of selling partners now have instant access to current, customized information ranging from order status, to trouble reporting, to commission statements. Partners, in turn, have flexibility for offering access to selected information and selling tools to their own agents or account representatives.
“We aim on giving our selling partners the fastest and best chance of making a sale and serving their customers,” said Dan Moffat, president and CEO of New Edge Networks. “When we provide fast and easy access to sales quote tools, order status, or trouble reporting, our partners spend less time with us and more time with their customers.”
At login, the Partner Network distinguishes the type of relationship partners have with New Edge Networks and displays only sales and service information that is relevant to them. The site includes user-friendly interactive selling tools, product and network information as well as marketing, sales, and training support. New Edge Networks designed its Partner Network based on feedback it continually solicits from partners.
New Edge Networks has more than 2,500 partners including wholesalers, agents, resellers, referral partners, individual account managers as well as authorized installation centers. Most partners also have their own sub-agents, sales teams, or other selling partners. Instead of accessing separate portals, all partners use a single site, which makes it easy for New Edge Networks to keep current.
“New Edge’s Partner Network is awesome,” said Scott Eaton, Vice President of Sales for Atlanta-based master agent MicroCorp Inc. “We have more than 1,300 sub-agents. By allowing them direct access to relevant information, New Edge Networks lifts a huge load from us. We all can be more nimble and successful.
“The (carrier) with the fastest and most efficient speed to market has the best chance of winning the sale,” Eaton said. “New Edge Networks pushed the meaning of making it easy for us to work with them and our sub-agents to a new level. This is an effective way of improving the overall customer experience yet cutting customer service expense.”
Keri Andrews, sales and product manager for Velocitus, an IDACORP Company (NYSE: IDA) said, “The new online Partner Network turned an average 15-hour day into an eight-hour day. We are able to shift more focus on selling business broadband solutions and contributing more to our bottom line.”
An Internet service provider, Velocitus has been affiliated with New Edge Networks since early 2000.
