New Edge Networks Expands Board; Appoints Bob Gregg Independent Director

VANCOUVER, Wash. – (Feb 17, 2004) – New Edge Networks, a national multi-site managed network services provider for business and carriers, today announced it has expanded its board of directors and appointed Bob Gregg as its first independent member.

Gregg is an accomplished financial management executive with more than 18 years experience as CFO and CEO in large and small technology companies. He is currently CFO and executive vice president of FEI Company, (NASDQ: FEIC), a nanotechnology company based in Hillsboro, Ore.

Prior to joining FEI Company, Gregg, 50, was CFO at Sequent Computer Systems, a global computer company based in Beaverton, Ore. After Sequent sold to IBM in 1999, Gregg became president and CEO of Unicru Inc., a provider of hiring management software systems. He also was a founding member of a semiconductor start-up company in Portland, Ore.

Gregg was formerly with accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a CPA and graduate of the University of Oregon.

Gregg serves as president of the board of directors of the Oregon Historical Society and the board of the Oregon Sports Authority. He and wife, Cherie, have three children and reside in Portland.

In addition to Moffat, other members of the board of directors include representatives of principal investors in New Edge Networks. They include: Peter Wagner, Accel Partners; Rich Shapero, Crosspoint Ventures; David Castelblanco and Rob Gheewalla, both of Goldman, Sachs & Co., and; David Sze, Greylock.
