VANCOUVER, Wash. – (April 21, 2005) – New Edge Networks announced today that it will market and sell its broadband networking services through the Intel Channel Connect and Collect (IC3) Broadband Program to Intel’s nationwide independent dealers network.
The IC3 program enables Intel dealers to tap into the broadband market by packaging broadband networking solutions into their offerings to business customers. Through IC3, dealers could extend their customer relationships, sell new services to existing customers, and create new revenue streams.
“Business-class broadband networking will help Intel dealers offer their customers new ideas for increasing revenue, cutting expenses, and improving the overall customer experience,” said Dan Moffat, president and CEO of New Edge Networks. “One cannot use a computer today in business without some sort of broadband connectivity.”
Participating Intel dealers can offer to their customers the full range of broadband services in the New Edge Networks products suite. Service offerings range from basic broadband Internet access for a single business site to fully managed virtual private networks, or VPNs, linking any number of locations at any business address in the United States.
Intel built an online interface for its dealers to access and order New Edge Networks services. The site is www.ic3site.com.
Access technologies available from New Edge Networks include all flavors of DSL, frame relay, ATM, cable, or satellite. With the largest DSL footprint, New Edge Networks is the underlying broadband access provider for most long-distance companies, regional bell operating companies, and other communications providers.
Comprised of about 40,000 channel members, Intel’s product dealer program represents one of the largest contingents of value added resellers in the United States that sells PCs and consulting and networking services.
“The broadband services available from New Edge Networks make a perfect fit for the small and midsize business customers,” said John Davies, executive vice president of Intel’s solutions market development group. “New Edge Networks brings business-class broadband access services to Intel’s dealer network.”
